We are experienced travelers with many trips over several years. The Lewis and Clark trip went from just a trip to a memorable, special experience because of the presence of Todd Weber. His talks, his dress, his life experiences and his crafts added a special significance. He made the trip exceptional.

L.R.-California

Your presentations on Lewis and Clark on our Columbia River Cruise were outstanding. They were an unexpected aspect of the cruise, which was both stimulating and informative, and made the cruise a truly rewarding experience from beginning to end. Our compliments to you, not only for your encyclopedic knowledge of Lewis and Clark’s expedition, but also your skill and accoutrements in your many presentations throughout the week. All of this made us want to learn much more about this important period in American History on our own and perhaps later in another, similar cruise of the area.

R.P.- California

Your presentations on the boat were marvelous and to view the artifacts made history alive and real.

C.J.- Illinois

Your DVD has excellent history of the Corps of Discovery, and is a great resource and remembrance of our trip. Your excellent knowledge and narration made our Columbia River cruise that much more satisfying

F.M- Texas

Your DVD on Lewis and Clark arrived today and we were so excited! We had to sit down immediately and watch it. WOW!! You did an amazing job! You have incredible photos and live demonstrations. It was well worth the wait. Our time with you on the Queen of the West was truly a highlight and now we can relive the experience. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of L & C with us.

R&P - California

We feel that your presentations were a definite plus to the trip. It really MADE the trip. I like to combine history with travel, and you provided us with information that we would never have gotten if you were not there.

B&D- Illinois

We have both read Stephen Ambose’s “Corps of Discovery”, but through your lectures and the DVD we have learned even more. Your onboard lectures were the highlights of our cruise.

L&M- California

Your incredible knowledge of the facts, together with your fascinating presentation in an authentic costume, along with the historic items from your collection, made the Lewis and Clark expedition come alive! We felt so fortunate that you were our historian on our Columbia River cruise.

R.S.-California

I thoroughly enjoyed your DVD, and plan to take it to the school where I volunteer so they can show it to all the 5th graders. You are a wonderful teacher and speaker.

D.D.- Texas

Your DVD is excellent!! I have enjoyed it more than once. Out of all of my vacations and cruises, this one was the very best, because of your informative history lessons and your calm way of presenting that history. I love history, but so many professors make it so boring. You
just made it alive and very interesting. Thank you for your very special gift of presenting it in such a fashion. I will never forget Lewis and Clark!

J.K.- Texas

Your lectures were so informative and told us so much more than books could.

M.L.- Colorado

I have spent two full evenings absolutely mesmerized by your DVD. I think you and your crew have done a fantastic job with the production!

C.O.- Texas

We could tell that you love what you do by the way you presented the material to us.

R&D- New York

We so enjoyed your presentations on the riverboat. You made the trip come to life for those of us who like to learn about history, especially the history of areas we visit.

H.O.- Missouri

We took our 9 year old granddaughter on this adventure and would highly recommend it!… The coordinator, Todd Weber, one of the best we’ve ever had, has been with E/H for 12 years and was with us every step of the way.

Intergenerational Grand Canyon Trip

Todd brings history to life because he has engrained it into his way of life. His spell binding tales transport audiences of all ages across centuries of adventures. He talks from his heart and touches the hearts of his listeners.

E&G-Texas

A highlight of our trip was listening to the narrative by Todd Weber on the Lewis and Clark expedition. His delivery was excellent, both entertaining and educational. We were always anxious to hear the story continue the following day. An added bonus was his wearing of period clothing he fashioned himself. All of it was very enjoyable.

A&B- Louisiana

We have just returned from a river cruise in Germany, and, although my roots are in Germany, we really didn’t enjoy this cruise as much as we did when we were with you.

H&K- Pennsylvania

Just received your excellent video and watched it last evening! On a scale of one to ten, I’ll give it an eleven! I have other Lewis and Clark videos, and this will be my favorite!

J.S.-Missouri

Your lecture on the Mountain Man was a highlight of the week. The buckskin clothing, authentic equipment and the demonstrations of loading a rifle and making a fire with flint and steel were terrific. Thank you for an enjoyable and enlightening afternoon.

JB- New York

The first part of the program sets the stage for Powell and his men’s trip into the Great Unknown—the Grand Canyon. Weber is dressed as Powell including the appearance of Powell’s missing arm. The evening before the men embark on their journey, we see Powell at his makeshift table writing a letter to his wife, Emma, and saying aloud his thoughts to her. His writing is interspersed with orders given to his men. He is surrounded by some of the accouterments which will accompany the men on their journey. This is extremely effective in setting the stage for the second part of the program.

After the journey, the audience asks questions of Powell and it is astonishing to hear Powell’s answers. The audience was amazed at Weber’s knowledge of the Grand Canyon Trip—the dangers they faced, the hardships endured, and the spectacular beauty they witnessed. The performance made you feel that you were there, picturing the events along the journey. Weber has clearly studied extensively Powell’s journals and much of what has been written by and about Powell.

Some of the comments from attendees include:

Excellent, informative, and inspiring—on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it a 10!

Extensive knowledge of Todd Weber

Great insight into Powell’s life

Learned a lot about exploration

Learned about the value of water and the bravery of the explorers

Wonderful detail of the history of the Grand Canyon

Provided more historical details that were not part of the presentation—interesting details on the river boats

Contributed to the information necessary to understand the journey on the River

We would have Todd Weber back for ANY of his programs. We earlier enjoyed his fascinating “River Runners of the Grand Canyon” program.

Todd Weber is an amazing talent!!

Todd brings history to life because he has engrained it into his way of life. His spell binding tales transport audiences of all ages across centuries of adventures. He talks from his heart and touches the hearts of his listeners.

Todd’s presentation is fascinating and visual, helping his audience understand the amazing hardships these hearty individuals lived through, but also sharing their satisfaction of working in the fur trade. His display of items helps to bring it all to life for the listener.

REVIEWS - THE RIVER RUNNERS OF THE GRAND CANYON

Wonderfully informative timeline of exploration and recreation in the Grand Canyon. The Powerpoint presentation had wonderful photos to go with Todd’s dialog. It made me want to get on a raft and go!

KL - Utah

Todd does a wonderful job as he relates to his audience the many adventures of the various people who made their way through the Grand Canyon on the wild and yet beautiful Colorado River. The powerpoint visuals help to add to the presentation and his period clothing helps to show why people would so quickly drown in the early days! Very enlightening and enjoyable!

REVIEWS - THE BLACKSMITH OF BRANDYWINE

Our family was spellbound from the beginning. Todd Weber’s clothing of a minuteman, the guns, the equipment and the way he told the story of this Revolutionary War battle took us back in time! We all came away wanting to read more history!

JP - Arizona

There is so much Revolutionary War history, that it is hard to know where to begin, but Todd does a fine job of relating what it would have been like to be an American Minuteman, what they would have worn, carried and used as a soldier of the day. Ending with the story of Brandywine leaves the listener with a serious, but good understanding of the sacrifices these early Americans made to win their freedom from England.

REVIEWS - HIGH POINT TOURS

The Northwest Adventure was just that, a great Adventure! The tour was first class in all ways with excellent accommodations and a very good itinerary. Nadine and Todd go out of their way to make this a Great Adventure.

L.N.- Missouri

If you are searching for a relaxing, yet informative tour, this one’s for you! You are well taken care of from the time you arrive at your destination, until you reluctantly board the plane for home. Todd is the master of “bringing history to life” and you can enjoy his commentaries from the bus as you are traveling to the historical sites, letting you absorb the history on your own when you disembark. We especially enjoyed the freedom to choose our places for dining (always within easy walking distance if not at the hotel), and time on our own for shopping or resting. The bus was new, and very comfortable, and our driver was exceptional. Nadine has researched the accommodations well, and every one of them was exceptional. It is truly a memorable adventure!

L&M- Arizona

Todd and Nadine are a five star team when it comes to touring. Todd is a top notch guide and presenter with an extensive knowledge of the history and an abundance of often little known facts, all delivered in an authentic and often witty style. Nadine, as tour director, has aptly been named “The Diva of Details:. Her pains-taking attention to acquiring outstanding accommodations, excellent meals and points of interest to visit, is astonishing. All this combines for a five star adventure! Don’t miss an opportunity to travel to them.

A&J- Arizona

If you are looking to take a tour that is informative, interesting, relaxing, enjoyable, humorous, friendly, gracious, sociable, educational, enlightening, entertaining, and just plain FUN – First Class all the way. High Point Tours is the perfect choice!

J.M.- Georgia

Todd’s knowledge, and passion for the history, of this area and Nadine’s attention to every travel detail made this trip most enjoyable and memorable.

E.T.- Arizona

There are just not enough stars to rate this tour. I cannot think of a single thing that I would change. The Southwest Splendor tour completely surpassed our expectations, made wonderful memories, and was the perfect trip. Little did we know that the Grand Canyon was just one of the amazing places we would visit. We probably would never had visited half of the places that we went on the Southwest Splendor tour. Every place had an impact on us and it would be impossible to pick a favorite. Of course, Todd is the ultimate guide with his knowledge and love of history and the land. He brings it all to life. Besides, Todd, I think that we had the best guides and experiences….the Navajo guide, who led us through the amazing Antelope Canyon and visited with us one on one about the Navajo; floating down the Colorado being serenaded by our guide, who was so knowledgeable about the river and the geology; eating lunch at El Tovar with a window table…I could go on and on. Todd and Nadine were not only guides and tour directors but we saw them as friends who really cared about our well being; wanted to be sure that we enjoyed their “backyard” as much as they do; and that we had experiences and made memories to fondly look back on. They were always accessible and ready to answer any questions; even going out of their way to arrange a tour for us in Phoenix after the Southwest Splendor tour. In short, High Point Tours provides first class tours and we look forward to our next adventure with Todd and Nadine.

What a super trip! Nadine is a master of detail from chocolates on the bus to rooms with gorgeous views, and Todd is a master of tales brimming with history and anecdotes. One could not hope to find a better match, and the itinerary for Southwest Splendor was superb. Wherever they choose to travel next, I’m planning to sign on.

P.N.- Connecticut

The Southwest Splendor Tour was unlike any I’ve experienced! The scenery was breath-taking and causes one to reflect on the majesty of America. The trip was made even more enjoyable by the attention to details by Todd and Nadine Weber and the narratives from a remarkable historian, Todd Weber. This tour is highly recommended.

What made the Southwest Splendor Tour special for me:
1. The driving was done for me, right up to the door of where we were to go.
2. No luggage to handle.
3. Room keys available upon arriving at every destination.
4. Ample free time to do our own thing.
5. Todd explaining the history of the area as we were traveling down the road.
6. The tickets were taken care of so we didnt have to mess standing in line waiting to purchase them.
7. One thing I personally appreciated was that you didnt start so early in the mornings. I don’t move very fast first thing in the mornings so it was nice to have ample time to get ready.
8. Letting us know about eating places before we arrived so we had ideas of where to eat.
All in all to sum it up, I liked being waited on with no responsibility and you did a VERY GOOD job of doing that for me.”
A well planned tour thru scenic Utah and Arizona. Todd and Nadine are a balanced team. Nice accommodations, seamless scheduling, scenic, informative, relaxing tour and yet we saw and did more than we expected in 8 days.

J.M.- Iowa

The Southwest tour was everything we had hoped for. Most of the places we have been before in our Motor Home or on a Houseboat, but it was really relaxing to view them all again and have a vivid reminder of what a great and unique place the American West is. As fellow Arizonans, it reaffirmed our decision that we are living in the best place for us. Both Todd and Nadine are real masters in making a trip an experience. Todd’s tremendous talent to bring history to life, as well as geology is a real treat, and Nadine’s talent in taking care of the myriad of details, her ability to find the best accommodations and keep everything on an even keel is amazing. It was so nice to just sit back in that beautiful bus driven by our wonderful driver, and let ourselves be pampered and educated, and thoroughly enjoy the West. It was great just to go from one place to another with no worries about tickets, accommodations, meals, and travel.

MB- Arizona

We enjoyed the tour very much. A lot of things were going on and it seemed that as the trip progressed it got even better. The weather and the people on the trip had a lot to do with it. We were very happy we were part of this tour. We loved being out in nature. Todd and Nadine did a great job to make that happen. We just love the way they ran the trip and we knew exactly what the schedule was a day in advance. GREAT JOB !!!!!!!!

Here is one of the many things we loved about this awesome trip; Just get on the bus, sit back and prepare to be amazed! You do not have to worry about anything!

JZ- Illinois

It was a splendid trip, for several reasons, among them is God’s magnificent country that He made for us to feed us on so many levels, and for our great pleasure in the sheer beauty of it, and for Todd and Nadine’s excellent care of all of us, going above and beyond the call of duty, and for the absolutely delightful and spellbinding presentations that Todd gave over and over again. Nadine, what can I say but that you two are the greatest; so wonderful that wherever you two go on tour, I will go if I haven’t already been there, and quite possibly even if I have. Everything deserves superlatives. You and Todd, the itinerary, the accommodations etc. all were excellent. Thank you for an unforgettable experience, and once again for awakening in me an interest in our remarkable American history.

This tour was totally awesome – scenery, weather, people. I don’t know how many times I remarked to someone “How can people say there is no God?” No human being could create such awesome splendor. There is no better tour guide than Todd – an absolute walking encyclopedia. I don’t know how he does it and I’ve known him for 51 years. Nadine is fantastic as the tour director who makes sure everything goes smoothly. Plus they are such a delightful couple. It gets a AAA rating in my book!

EG - New Jersey

The Southwest was beautiful and the weather perfect. Meeting new, kind people was great.
Nadine and Todd were very helpful to me. I was nervous about the Colorado River but it was part of the best. The Antelope Canyon was peaceful, like a therapy. The jeep ride was exciting. I mention the tour every chance I get and may see you again!
